Keepin' it funky

(...The title is for you, Boyfriend Ben)
I have been wanting to wear my jean jacket with some brooches and finally did. I was feeling extra funky this day, so I paired my pinned kacket with a layered necklace and thigh high boots. and I twisted my back-I totally loved this effect.

Gap jacket and sweater, Club Monaco jeans, Bcbg boots, Juicy Couture necklace, Noir ring, Kate Spade earrings, various brooches (see Pretty in Plaid post) Michael Kors watch, Badgley Mischka bag

Winter Sun

Yesterday was such a pleasantly warm day. I met some friends at Angry Dog (best burgers in Dallas) for lunch. We had a laughing good time.

Club Monaco blouse and jeans, Jessica Simpson shoes, Steve and Barry's sunglesses, Noir ring, vintage necklace

Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture

Stunning couture creations from Givenchy once again. A great example of where the line between art and fashion is nonexistent. I love the architectural and asian influences. The pops of color are fresh and sheer panels are sexy. Details are immaculate. Ev.er.y.thing. is amazing. I literally have no words.

Just take it in.

The Roses

I adore Will Ryman's The Roses (no, not only because that happens to be my last name).

"New York--Paul Kasmin Gallery, in conjunction with New York City's Department of Parks & Recreation, and the Fund for the Park Avenue Sculpture Committee, announces Will Ryman's The Roses, a new site-specific installation to bloom along Park Avenue from January 25 through May 31, 2011. Transforming Park Avenue into a fanciful garden, Will Ryman's 38 sculptures of rose blossoms towering as high as 25 feet, complimented by 20 individual scattered rose petals, will festoon Park Avenue Mall between 57th and 67th Streets in the artist's inaugural public art exhibition. Reflecting Ryman's flair for the dramatic and absurdly wonderful, roses painted in shades of pink and red will spring up in vibrant contrast to the traditionally bleaker winter months preceding spring in the artist's large-scale love letter to New York City" -via huffingtonpost.com

I wish I could revisit New York, not only because it's an incredible city, but because the art scene (including this spectacular installation by Will Ryman) is pretty stellar. Mr. Ryman, come to Dallas?

Pretty in Plaid

I wore this out to a dinner date with boyfriend Ben. I loved this look (and he did too, sweet huh?) I love brooches and mixing them into all sorts of outfits. In this case, I mixed jeweled brooches, with plaid, a 50's silhouette, and modern heels and clutch. Flirty and fun.

Chanel Spring 2011 Couture

I love the light and airy feeling of the Chanel Spring 2011 Couture Collection. The craftsmanship, details, silhouettes, (even the flats!) were absolutely breathtaking. (You must click the image to enlarge to see the incredible pieces in more detail.)
Lovely!

May I please float around in one or all of these glittering gowns? *sigh*

Don't get me started on the most perfect flats ever created (slight wedge heel, chic pointed toe, perfect paired with jeans or an evening gown, yes please!)

Alexis Mabille Spring 2011 Couture

I reallly like this collection by Alexis Mabille. I seriously want all of these select pieces. I would wear them to.mor.row. There's one dress in particular that made me swoon... I have no words really. It's just beautiful and fresh. I love the juxtaposition of colors. I love the rose. I love the earrings. The asymmetry (and the dress) is perfect.

I wore this on a trip to the museum and I got quite a few compliments (especially on the shoes). If you've never been to the DMA (Dallas Museum of Art) I highly recommend getting your tail over there pronto. I love it, always so inspiring! Annnnd, if you've never been on one of their Late Night Fridays... may I also suggest that?

UO sweater, Club Monaco jeans, Prada shoes, Juicy Couture Necklace, and Sonia Kashuk 'Tauntin Teal" nail polish on my toes

Birthday Fun!!

Soo, since I had the flu on my birthday (lame, I know) we celebrated last weekend. I wore one of my very favorite dresses and had a ball. Boyfriend Ben took me to Dish for dinner, then we met friends at Maximo for drinks, and ended up at Gloria's for salsa dancing. It was a ton of fun! Thanks to all my dear friends and boyfriend Ben! I received the Vanity Fair Portraits book (love!) and Sprinkles cupcakes (love!) :) Love you all.

Fumlin' Foe dress, Noir ring (Christmas gift from my bf!-I adore it) Calvin Klein heels, and rockin' the Revlon 'Clouds' nail polish again
